Time travel, Vampires and Atlantis

Booking Through Thursday 2-12-09
Do you read any author’s blogs? If so, are you looking for information on their next project? On the author personally? Something else?
There are three author blogs that I have on my reader; Diana Gabaldon, Richelle Mead and Sherrilyn Kenyon.
- Gabaldon doesn’t update her blog very often but when she does the posts are always meaty and full of info on her new books. Last week we got to see the cover of her newest novel ‘An Echo in the Bone’ due out later this year. She also puts updates on movie info (cross your fingers that they don’t eff that one up!) and other projects she’s working on.
- Mead updates almost daily and her posts are always long as well. It makes for fantastic morning over-coffee reading. She updates on a more personal level, giving us an inside view to her daily things along with tours and events. She also hosts contests now and then along with updates on her latest novels.
- I also read Sherrilyn Kenyon’s blog, but she posts under the psuedonym and character of Acheron Parthenopaeus. Mostly its updates on the Dark Hunter series but sometimes she throws in little fun posts “from” Ash. The blog is like a character study, which means that “Acheron” is the one who writes the entries. (Although sometimes Simi steps in to toast a few things now and again.) Its a fun and light hearted approach to author blogging and it keeps us wolves fans at bay between novels.

It is nice to find out a bit about an author after reading and admiring their work. I used to read more than I do now. Happy Booking Through Thursday!
